Why might a CM calibration reading change over time?
A change in calibration reading does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with the instrument.
The calibration result can be affected by factors such as:
- Volume of solution
- Evaporation
- IPA concentration
- Temperature
- Age and condition of the solution
- Contamination or exposure of the solution to the atmosphere
For this reason, calibration solutions should be treated as controlled test materials and maintained appropriately.
